We wanted to offer a service where people who needed Russian-English translation could receive good translations at a low cost.

Since Lena had some free time, and knew of other university-educated Russians, fluent in English, who were interested in helping with translation, Lena wanted to offer a low-cost translation service to others as a way of bridging the cultural and communication gap and bring couples closer together.

Lena and I saw a need for low-cost English-Russian translations as a way to help couples develop healthy and happy relationships.

When two people can communicate in the same language, and share and understand one another's thoughts and feelings, they are able to know each other better. This is important whether you want to understand if you are compatible with another person, as well as when you want to further develop an intimacy and become closer to someone you love and know you want to be with.

Lena worked as an English-Russian translator for 3 1/2 years. While in Belarus, she majored in English at a Belarusian University, and often translated her Russian friends' emails from Russian into English and vice versa (for free, of course).

Lena helped Russian-speakers in Belarus communicate with their English speaking loved ones, and saw this translation service as a way of extending the same help to English speakers.

Since moving to the United States, Lena has had many satisfied people who have used her translation service as you can read from the comments that she has received.

We were thinking that since other services charge $10 or $35 and more (even $66) for translating one page (2000 characters of text and spaces), that charging $8 for translating the same text would provide a good service to others. Especially since Lena is an experienced and trusted translator.

Monthly Translation Account Option #1-- $125 per month for up to 1 page translated and forwarded per day

If you are corresponding with one or more Russian woman, and would like to feel freedom to communicate with her/them and feel assured that you can write and communicate your thoughts to her, and that you will be able to receive her letters, translated and forward to you, then this might be a service that could help deepen and facilitated the development of your relationship (or help you understand which Russian woman is the right one for you. Lena will translate a one page email per day (up to 2000 characters with spaces per page), whether it is an email that you write, or an email that your Russian lady/ladies writes you. Lena will forward the translated letters to both the Russian woman (or women), and to you within 24 hours of receiving them. Men have asked Lena about including such a service, and therefore we decided to offer it to others. If Lena translates one (one page) letter per day, your cost per translated page will be $4.16.

Monthly Translation Account Option #2-- $235 per month for up to 2 pages translated and forwarded per day

This monthly translation option is for those who think that they will be writing more than one page emails to those that they are corresponding with. With this option, you have the freedom to write or receive two page translated email letters (up to 4,000 characters with spaces per page). The cost per page for this option, if Lena translates a letter every day, is $3.75 per page.

Please note that we do not use electronic computer translators in our work, because they do a very poor job and result in impersonal letters and don't provide you with an accurate and genuine-sounding translations.

A lot of women do not know the English language at all, or only can read with a very basic understanding of English. From my experience working with a marriage agency in Belarus for 2.5 years, as well as with my communications with Russian women every day through the Russian Meeting Place website, my advice to you is to translate your first letters to a woman if you are really interested in her, because a letter in Russian is so much easier for her to read and understand. She will very much appreciate your efforts.

While in Belarus, I sometimes heard Russian women happily say: "This man went through all of the expense of having this letter translated.” Women appreciate and value that you went through the expense of translating your letter.

If you can't afford the expense of translating every letter, or you think it not necessary, I advise you to translate only the first letter, because you can include a lot of good and useful information in your first correspondence as a way of introducing yourself. But I think it’s very important to show a woman what kind of person you are, because as you understand, good photographs of yourself and a good first letter improves your chance for success in finding and attracting the right person for you.

But if you really want to know this woman very well, it is wise not to save on the cost of accurately translating your communication with her, because again, from my experience and examples that I have personally witnessed, in the future it will cost you more not to have communicated clearly with your Russian lady from the beginning. Know and understand the person you may marry and spend the rest of your life with as much as you can, as early as you can, so you can feel comfortable that you made a wise choice.

It’s not a secret that some women may not be serious with their communication with foreign men (and the same is true with some foreign men communicating with Russian women). Without communicating in a common language and creating understanding, it is much more difficult to know a potential foreign partner and understand their character and intentions. I think that the question of communication in a common language is very important in making the right choice in a relationship. Your choice in who you marry is a choice that will affect you forever-- not for one month, one year, or ten years, but for all of your life.
